Bet you’d never guess that one author refers to the so-called “Golden Rule” as the best and only corporate policy manual. Unfortunately, the modern pop-psychology interpretation of it leaves much to be desired and is more pacifistic than was ever intended. Fortunately, Christ’s life is a perfect example of what it should mean, which He also taught.

We should never be guilty of just going through the motions in our service to God, as were the Laodiceans in Revelation 3 (starting at verse 14). Instead, we should be “zealous of good works” (Titus 2:14).
